Breton Kennels is located in beautiful Dixon, California, an agricultural valley community with several species of wild game birds in the vicinity, 20 miles west of Sacramento. Brittanys have been in our hearts and home nearly 40 years, first as hunting companions and then as serious competitors in field trials, finishing one Dual Champion, 4 Field Champions, 2 Amateur Field Champions; in hunting tests with one Junior Hunter, 3 Senior Hunters and 3 Master Hunters; and in shows with one show Champion. Most training and all handling in the field has been accomplished by the dogs' owners.

The goal has been to maintain the AKC Brittany standard while breeding for independence, trainability, stamina and style in the field, and loving personalities. All have been the hallmarks of Breton Kennels Brittanys. Each one has made an excellent bird dog for hunting enthusiasts and an exceptional companion for the family, and several have been known as outstanding field trial and competition dogs.
